First Line Friday #59

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Mine was all I'd hoped it would be and more. Our house was filled with family, love, and laughter.

This week, I will feature another Christmas novel. It's one I just finished. I know Christmas is in the past now, but this novel is too good to be ignored. The title is The Christmas Bride: A Legacy of Love by Melanie Dobson.

May 1754

Susanna couldn't concentrate on the Count's eloquent words, not when her groom stood just four paces behind her. Everything within her wanted to glance over her shoulder to see the color of Christian Boehler's eyes. And to see if there was a hint of love within them.

I never knew much about the Moravian community, but was fascinated by all I learned through this novel. As much as everything within me would have disliked abiding by their rules, their beautiful hearts for the lost and devotion to the Savior were overwhelmingly impressive. Susanna and Christian’s love story develops believably within the confines of the Moravian lifestyle. I loved this love story. You can click HERE to see what the book is about. This novel touched me deeply.
