First Line Friday #41

The book I’m featuring this week is Secrets & Charades by Cindy Ervin Huff. The setting is Missouri in 1873. I haven't finished reading this novel yet. I'm actually not that far along, but it sounds interesting and I'm enjoying the author's style of writing as well as what the story is about.Several of you have featured this book on FIrst Line Friday in the past, so it's been on my TBR list. I'm finally getting to it.

"Young lady, my marital status is none of your concern."

Circumstances cause the two to agree to a marriage of convenience. Now it’s your turn. First Line Friday is something every reader can participate in. Pick up a book near you. Type the first line in the comments, along with the title of the book and the author.
