When I outgrew Ramona the Pest and Tom Sawyer, I picked up my first romance novel and became a hopeless romantic. In my twenties, a new pastor came to our church and I experienced my own happily ever after. Marrying him brought me into full-time ministry and we served the Lord together for thirty-three years. Of course, trials come into everyone’s life, and we were not spared. But we chose to be each other’s best friend and faced every battle side by side. We were blessed with two loving children who married wonderful spouses and now I’m enjoying being a grandmother to three adorable grandchildren.
Many years have gone by since I attempted my first novel, but I never completely gave up on my dream. Recently, with an empty nest and living in a digital age — no more longhand — I finally began writing books. Since I prefer reading Christian historical romances, I chose to write in that genre. It is my desire to entertain while inspiring readers to face their challenges with renewed hope and increased faith in God who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.
In 2019, I became an award-winning author when Readers’ Favorite (an international competition) granted me the Silver Medal award for Christian Historical Romance for my first book, Reluctant to Wed, in the Arranged Marriage Series.
